Hello

Here's who I am & what I do

My name is Anusha Chitranshi and I am a junior studying Computer Science and Economics at the University of Cincinnati, OH. I am getting my Master's degree along with my Bachelor's degree through the ACCEND program and hope to specialize in Software Development and Artificial Intelligence. Being a University Honors scholar, my biggest goal through college is to gather as much experience as I possibly can and grow holistically both in my professional and personal life.

I am an international student from India. Four years ago I made the biggest decision of my life. I made the decision to move to the other side of the world, alone, into an entirely new country to get educated, to gain excellence in what I wanted to pursue. I have been in pursuit of this excellence ever since. I work as a Resident Advisor on campus and I also work as a tutor with the Learning Commons. As for my campus involvements, I am a CEAS Ambassador and have held leadership roles in it multiple times. I am also a Student Leader with International Partners and Leaders (IPALs) which is the student body of UC International. I am also an ambassador for the University Honors Program. In addition to that, I serve as the President for ACM-W, a society for women in computing. I have always had a love for writing, so I also serve as a writer for the HER Campus magazine, supporting the women’s community all around the nation. I have recently been very involved with the Adopt-a-Class organization where we go to the Academy of World Languages and teach second graders. This year, I have devoted a lot of my time to my role as the Marketing/Branding Lead for RevolutionUC, one of UC’s biggest hackathons. Not long ago, I had the honor of being the National Co-op Ambassador for our university wherein I got to represent our co-op program on many platforms. Last, I am a proud scholar of the Mantei/Mae Society. I believe what makes me unique is the experience I am gathering through everything I am doing. What makes me unique is the willingness to tell my story to the world, to go and explore things that are out there and to catch everything this place has to offer with a bright smile.

My top 5 Clifton strengths are:

1. Leader

2. Learner

3. Developer

4. Woo

5. Empathy

I believe these define who I am pretty accurately. I have been a leader all my life and I intend to continue doing so every chance I get. My communication skills and empathy towards others enhances those leadership skills and makes it easier for me work with other people. My curiosity to learn new things, gather knowledge, and use that knowledge for the betterment of the community is what brings me to the University Honors Program.
